The techs have been directed to add 6GB more RAM to the main server. The database server was stressed tested as well with it’s new backup code. It took only 3 mintues to backup the entire English Wiki database.

During databackups, the database that is currently being backed up will be under “Read Only” mode not to disturb it and cause any major problems. But once it’s done, it will unlock and move onto the next one.
